Fun Fact: He donates all his yoga teaching income to the SPCA! (Swoon)
I tend to do things to the extreme and have always enjoyed exercise as a stress reliever. I first got into yoga as a way to help recover from injuries caused by overtraining in Muay Thai kickboxing, Jujitsu, conditioning classes and running.
At first when I starting attending class at Indigo, I did the Hot 26 one to two times a week, and then I started adding Vinyasa classes, which were an amazing stress reliever. In addition to Crossfit and the other intense exercise that I do, I find yoga to be a good balance that has taught me how to relax and not rush things. The combination of Vinyasa and Yin has been amazing for both my physical and mental states.
In the summer of 2015, I attended an intensive two week 200 Hour program at a Hatha Yoga School in Costa Rica, with the goal of helping others find all the benefits I experienced by teaching a combination of Vinyasa and Yin yoga.
My classes have two goals: first, to strengthen the body through long holds based on breathing; and second, to calm the mind and increase flexibility. I hope to see you in one of my classes soon.
