Trained in – Hot Hybrid Yoga Teacher Training Level 1, Sculpt Teacher Training
Fun Fact: I am a Raleigh Native. My family has been here for generations. I live very close to the studio in the house that my grandmother lived in for 60 years and where my dad grew up.
I am a Broughton and Meredith graduate. I started yoga over 20 years ago while I was in college at Meredith and I haven’t looked back. It took me a long time to find Indigo (July of 2014 was when I attended my first class). I finally completed teacher training in May of 2018 at Indigo. My yoga family is so important to me! I don’t know where I would be if I had not found Claudine. She is one of my best friends and mentors.
I absolutely love teaching and being a student. My yoga journey has changed drastically over the years! I love that the journey never seems to end. There is always something to learn and the teachers at Indigo are always hungry to discover new information and pass it on to all the students.
I love the Hot 26 with Mechelle Fuquay, my spirit animal, and pretty much any balancing posture. I try to attend classes and trainings with as many teachers as possible to keep my teaching fresh and gain perspective on how I can consistently give my students the best and safest class possible. I want everyone to walk out of my classes feeling rejuvenated and living their best life! As a teacher and student, I am so grateful to be surrounded and supported by the faculty at Indigo.
When I am not finding excuses to practice yoga, teach yoga, and horse around at the studio, I work at our family owned coffee shop, The Third Place, with my long time partner David Benson and my precocious progeny, Elizabeth.
