When I think of Indigo Hot Yoga, I well up with gratitude for the space, the teachers, the clients and the community!  My name is Beth and I have so enjoyed getting to know some of you better through teaching. I have had a 30 year relationship with yoga, when I began as a college athlete in the early 90’s (yes, dating myself!) I had always wanted to deepen my practice through training, and was able to recently complete the 200 hour YTT here at Indigo with Claudine.  I have to say it was one of the most positive and rewarding experiences that I’ve ever had.

My husband, Ben and I have been married for 25 years and have lived in the Raleigh area since 2004.  The greatest joys in our lives are our three kids, Henry (23), Calvin (21) and Jane (19), as well as our fur-kids Otis (labradoodle) and Kitty (aka, Hobbs, but Kitty is what stuck).  We started our journey in Pennsylvania, then Washington, D.C, to Shiprock, NM (fun fact: we lived on the Navajo Indian Reservation for 2 years, where Calvin was born), Cleveland, OH and then finally back to Raleigh, NC.  All three of our kids are college athletes (2 football and 1 rower- you can probably guess who is not the football player;). Their sporting events are a great source of joy and pride for us and have kept us and continue to keep us busy.  Teaching yoga to my family at home during COVID, while completing my training at Indigo, has been one of the greatest and most unexpected gifts I could ever ask for.

I feel so much gratitude for Claudine for creating this place, and attracting such amazing teachers and clients.  The love and unconditional kindness that we all feel when we walk in the door, is truly contagious and carried out the doors with us and into our lives.  If anyone has ever considered training and you have time in your life, like Kat said last month, please consider doing it!  Once you learn it, you just want to share it.  As I said, I have so enjoyed getting to know you and am grateful for the chance to share this experience with you.  Looking forward to meeting more of you soon!

Love and Namaste.
